Get your SMC position checked by a professional
A written evaluation of your Skilled Migrant Category position by an immigration lawyer or a licensed immigration adviser, delivered by email. Usually $299+GST. $199+GST for a limited time.
What is included
- All 12 safeguard checks from the checklist, run against your actual documents (not your recollection of them).
- A written evaluation: where you stand under the current rules AND the rules from 24 August 2026, what is solid, what is at risk, and what to fix before you submit.
- A clear recommendation on timing: submit before the change, after it, or wait and strengthen.
Scope
- Covers the principal applicant's SMC eligibility position.
- Document review: employment agreement, payslips, IRD income summary, qualification documents, visa history, travel movements (you supply copies; a checklist of exactly what to send follows payment).
- It is an evaluation, not full representation: it tells you where you stand and what to do. If you then want someone to run the application, that is a separate engagement you are free to take anywhere.
Timeline
5 working days from the day we have all your documents, delivered as a written email evaluation you can keep and act on. The SMC rules change on 24 August 2026; the version of the rules you are assessed under can depend on when you move.
What you will know at the end
Whether you are ready to submit, what would fail or invite questions, and what to change first. If the evaluation finds you are clearly not eligible yet, it says so plainly, with the shortest path to becoming eligible.
Common questions
Ready to know where you stand?
One payment, your documents, and a written professional answer within 5 working days.
Immigo provides general information, not immigration advice. The evaluation is performed by an immigration lawyer or a licensed immigration adviser under their own professional obligations; the engagement for the evaluation is between you and that practitioner. Prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST.
